Sea Source Offshore (SSO) was founded by Anglo North Irish Fish Producers Organisation to offer members the opportunity to diversify their maritime skills and assets into offshore energy related activities such as, providing Guard Vessels, Survey Vessels, Crew Transfer vessels, Fishery Liaison Officers, Fishing Industry Representatives, and qualified Marine Mammal Observers.

At midnight on April 11, 2024, Northern Ireland launched the Northern Ireland Maritime & Offshore network (NIMO), backed by Invest NI. NIMO aims to boost job creation, regional balance, and carbon emission reduction in the maritime sector. Key members include Artemis Technologies and Belfast Harbour, signaling growth in the industry.
